Rides on November 17th for the Lighting Event will begin at approximately 5:30pm and be first come/first serve. Pricing is per carriage (not per person).
A Northeast Texas gem of a city, Mount Pleasant is a must do for Christmas and we are so excited to be part of the festivities! Join Four Winds Carriage Company this Holiday season with a traditional horse-drawn Christmas Carriage Ride around the historic Mount Pleasant Square and downtown. We will be offering 20 minute rides for up to 8 people per carriage/wagon. Please join us in starting a new Christmas tradition and experience the true western charm of this historic town decked out in all of its Holiday splendor!

20 minute Carriage/Wagon Rides beginning at 6:00pm, Thursdays - Sundays.
Vis-a-Vis Carriage = $35 per private carriage (seats 4 to 6 adults)
Wagon = $45 per wagon (seats up to 8 adults)
Q. Is the pricing per person?
A. No, pricing is per vehicle!! Vis-a-vis Carriages hold 4 to 6 average size adults (Children 4+ are required to have their own seat). We do not charge per person.
Q. How many people can fit in a Vis-a-vis carriage?
A. Vis-a-vis Carriages hold 4 to 6 average size adults (Children 4+ are required to have their own seat).
Q. How many people can fit in the wagon?
A. The wagon can hold up to 8 average size adults (Children 4+ are required to have their own seat).
Q. What time should I arrive for my reservation?
A. You will need to arrive at the loading location 10 minutes before your reservation time to check-in.
Q. How much should I tip my driver?
A. Gratuity is NOT included in your reservation fee. It is customary to tip between 15% to 20% of the cost of your tour. Please share some holiday cheer with your driver when tipping.
Q. Can I bring my own blankets, food, and or beverages for my ride?
A. Four Winds Carriage Company WILL provide 2 blankets per carriage / 4 blankets per wagon. Please feel free to bring your own blankets to stay warm if you would like. December in Texas can be cold. Please dress yourself and children accordingly to stay warm for the ride. We will allow food and beverages, to include alcoholic beverages. Please be respectful to both our drivers and carriages to help maintain cleanliness throughout your tour and for the tours to follow. We request all beverages be in containers with lids.
Q. May I bring my dog/pet?
A. Four Winds Carriage Company loves all animals small and large. However, our horses, drivers and other customers kindly ask that you leave dogs/pets at home for the comfort and safety for all involved.
Cancellations or Changes: Reservations are subject to our 5 day cancellation/change policy. If you must cancel your reservation within 5 days of your scheduled ride, Four Winds Carriage Company will not refund the cost of the reservation. Cancellations prior to the 5 day cut off are subject to a fee of 35% of the cost of the reservation. Changes to your reservation are subject to a $10 reservation change fee. Changes to your reservation cannot be made within 5 days of your scheduled reservation. Cancellation or Change requests must be made via email at info@fourwindscarriage.com. Cancellations cannot be made by calling.
Cancellations due to weather is at the discretion of Four Winds Carriage Company. Safety is our first priority. Though it may seem safe for operating a carriage in Mount Pleasant, we must also consider the weather for the larger North Texas region for the length of the night as our horses, many of our drivers and customers are traveling from out of town. Should we determine to cancel due to weather, we will make every attempt to contact you by 2 pm the day of your ride using the contact information provided at time of reservation. Four Winds Carriage Company is not responsible for contacting customers by any phone numbers or emails not listed in the reservation. Upon cancellation of a reservation by Four Winds Carriage Company due to weather or any other unforeseen event, we will make every attempt to reschedule your ride during the current season. If this is not possible, a refund will be issued. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your bank to post the refund to your account.
By making a reservation with Four Winds Carriage Company, the reservation holder agrees to the refund policy.

Four Winds Carriage Company is not responsible for displays of decorations and lights in Mount Pleasant.
Four Winds Carriage Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason; all fees and charges will apply. By making a reservation with Four Winds Carriage Company, the reservation holder and guest agree to HOLD HARMLESS Four Winds Carriage Company LLC Employees, Contractors, or Partners.
UNDER TEXAS LAW (CHAPTER 87, CIVIL PRACTICE AND REMEDIES CODE), AN EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF EQUINE ACTIVITIES.
